Just finished watching 'Candyman' (the credits are rolling as I type this). The story of a woman doing research on urban legends - and she chooses one about a murderer who comes to people when they say his name five times in a mirror. Upon researching more, she gets involved in this urban legend . . . perhaps she had been all along.
I'll admit - this was more gross in parts than creepy - but oooooh Candyman's voice. Haven't heard Tony Todd speak outside of this movie, so I'm not sure if that's his regular way of speaking. It's definitely not one you would want to hear in a dark alley.
Just not sure I cared much about anyone in this story other than one little boy and a baby. Hard not to care about the little ones. But everyone else was either annoying or not included enough to care about.
Definitely have to tip my hat to Clive Barker, though - his imagination is definitely unusual and made for the horror genre.
