After having watched multiple bad movies today - this was a nice refreshing change. It's the story of a serial killer in the making who allows a small film crew to film a documentary about his preparations. Part horror - part humour, this is a clever film. I read some personal reviews of this, and a lot of viewers did not like how most was in documentary form and then towards the end it goes into movie form. I didn't have a problem with it because it was fairly smooth and there had been snippets earlier of the same thing. In fact, if you get into the movie at all it actually makes it more frightening because it's hard to remember at times it wasn't a 'real' documentary - so it's hard not to worry about the actors when it's in movie format.
This I would recommend to people who like horror movies - it references a lot of them but doesn't follow tired horror movie 'requirements'. It has a couple nice twists and a few really good quotes.
